Our Philosophy

“A problem that is addressed locally is a problem for life”
“Treat the person, not the body”

-Dr. M. Feldenkrais

At Pace Physical Therapy, each patient is evaluated and treated according to his or hers unique needs. The rehabilitation focus is on improving function, and it addresses the patient as a whole. Our goal is not only to help our patients eliminate their pain, but to help them become more efficient and graceful at what they love to do.

The emphasis is on a comprehensive approach that expands the boundaries of traditional physical therapy. The traditional focus on the musculoskeletal system as the cause of pain and dysfunction is replaced by the concept that it is the inefficient way of using ourselves in action that, over time, may causes our body to breakdown, causing us to experience difficulties, pain, and a decreased sense of vitality and joy. By utilizing principles of human movement, development and learning, new, more efficient pattern of self-use are created, allowing not only for the resolution of pain, but for long lasting improvements in all areas of human performance, physical or otherwise.
